DEUTSCHE NORMEN 1:536.463/.468 Determinationofthe DIN burning behaviour of 75200 interior materials in motor vehicles See Explanatory notes for relationship to the International Standard Is0 3795-1976 published by the International Organization for Standardization (Iso) Dimensions in mm 1 Field ofapplication and purpose The test according tothis standard serves to determine the burning rate of materials used in the occupant compartment of motor vehicles (private cars, lorries, multi-purpose vehicles, buses) under the effect of a small ignition flame. The test shall be conducted with a horizontal test piece arrangement. The test method permits the testing of all materials and parts of the vehicle interior fittings individually or in combination with each other up to a thickness of 13 mm. It serves to evaluate the uniformity of production batches of specific materials with regard to their burning behaviour. Because of the relatively large differences between practical conditions (application and position in the occupant compartment, conditions of use, ignition source, etc.) and the test conditions accurately specified in the standard, 1 "Copies derived from the electronic database of Johnson Controls.
